The friday before my college graduation from EIU, December 14th, I headed to a bridal shoppe to start my search for that perfect dress.  I was thankful enough to have had Danny’s mother Ferol Labash, my mother Jennifer Bakener, and 5 of my amazing bridesmaids Carissa Elliott,  Jennifer Lawyer, Angie Martin, Ally Krause,  and Holly Park with me during this amazing experience.  We received the real champagne treatment, literally.  We had the whole bridal shoppe to ourselves and they provided us with champagne and hor d’oeuvres.  I had my own stylist and hostess, and needless to say it was the royal treatment.  After trying on just 6 dresses I found the one.  If you are wondering if it was anything like the show ‘Say Yes To The Dress’ I would have to say yes.  People had differing opinions but when I came out and said “This is it” and started crying so did everyone around me.  We had a champagne toast and embraced this happy moment.  When it was time to get measured I definitely did not want to take it off.  As much as I would love to post a picture of this amazing event I would not want to ruin a beautiful surprise.  This is just one more big thing to mark off my wedding checklist.  Now that my college career is over I am ready to turn all my focus to planning the rest of this wedding!
