Hello WedOverHeels world,
It has been a while since I wrote anything up on my WOH blog, so it is time to start fresh. There are many reasons why I have been so quiet; the main reason is my new project: "The Refinery Magazine". This modern and urban focused mag has a vision to focus
brides, grooms and couples all towards beautiful weddings without the frills and fluff (despite how much I love the floofy stuff myself:)
I have been so lucky to work with many talented vendors, so many that I can't even begin to write them all down. The list would just go on and on and on forever! So yes, I have been very very busy, and head over heels in love with The Refinery and what it
has done for myself, my business and for my many vendor friends: new & old.
Now on to the main reason why I chose to write a blog post: my coffee date with the Bensons. Their last name: Benson - seems to evoke something different from what many might think. Benson sounds regal, magestic, or even an extension of The Fairmont. Those
are all lovely words, and in many ways The Bensons may be just like that, but from what I picked up on, this troupe of love is much much more than what their name suggests.
Mike & Bean have only been in Vancouver for a short time over all in their life, but they truly are a real example of what vancouver couples, and eventually families, are like: "cool". There seems to be a touch of the following: hipster, chic, casual, loving,
entreprenureal, forward focused, and again: loving. It makes complete sense to me that this wonderful couple would focus on weddings and bring the warmth of community to the vancouver wedding vendor world.
Over all we had a wonderful time chatting and getting to know each other, and as we waved farewell to Mike, Journey & Knox as they took on the morning, it was really inspirational to hear how Mike & Bean came up with the idea of WOH and how it has been successful
in such a short time. Something we wish for The Refinery. It was also wonderful to chat with Bean, over some lovely coffee beans in latte form, about how The Refinery and WOH are going to work together and becoming "friends".
Here is to more coffee, lunches, dinner dates, and the future together my loves,
-Ainsley xoxo
P.S. Thank you again to Journey for her gorgeous Paper Flower Bouquet and for my necklace and bracelet. My necklace has found a new home over my frequently used rear view mirror. Obviously for Daily Inspiration. <3
