So excited to share this photo from our incredible shoot with WedOverHeels! Thank you Bean and Mike for such a great post!

"Love is like a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes as coals, deep-burning and unquenchable." ~Bruce Lee

Last week we teamed up once again with the amazing talent that is Lucid Captures in an attempt to create the most captivating representation of love we could envision. The result was so much better than we could ever have dreamed. It is the greatest image we have ever had the pleasure of collaborating on, and truthfully, we cheered at the first exposure.

Next week we will be releasing another amazing photo from this session along with a complete DIY. This stunning effect was achieved 100% in camera (without the use of Photoshop) for less than $10!

Please feel free to share and pin this photo wherever you like (you can hover over the top left of the image for share options).

Thank you so much to Michael and Anna for helping us to create this epic photo of love and passion.

We hope it leaves you feeling inspired!

Bean & Mike | Anniversary Shoot | Vancouver, BC

A beautiful anniversary shoot of our amazing friends and founders of WedOverHeels Bean and Mike Benson

By Michael (lucidcaptures) | Reblogs: 4

Earlier this year, Anna and I visited the beautiful Vancouver, BC (our home away from home) to hang out for a few days and photograph our dear friends Bean and Mike Benson. Our friendship with Bean and Mike started on Twitter a little over a year ago. We began exchanging tweets and messages, and immediately fell in love with them and their sweet little family. After spending only a few minutes with Bean, Mike and their adorable little kiddos Journey and Knox, one can’t help but be inspired by how much they love one another. Anna and I are truly blessed to have such amazing friends in our life :)

We knew we wanted collaborate with Bean and Mike on a shoot the second we met them. They are truly, madly in love with each other and that is always a great recipe for amazing photos. Oh, and their 10 year wedding anniversary was also coming up, so the timing was perfect! The locations, concept and styling for the shoot came from Bean and Mike themselves, but of course we couldn’t have done without the help of some really great professionals. Jessica of MUAHjwn did a remarkable job with makeup/hair. The beautiful, one of a kind jewelry and accessories were provided by Haute Bride and Tracy Watts sent us the stylish fedora that Mike wore in some of the photos.

Enjoy these photos and be sure to leave some love!

Pro Spotlight: Lucid Captures Photography

21
OCT

Reblogged by Michael (lucidcaptures)

Still come back to this post over and over. So honored and thankful...

Get ready to fall in love with Michael and Anna, the amazing talent behind Lucid Captures!

By WedOverHeels | Reblogs: 1 | View Original

We're starting something brand new here on our brand new blog, which we hope will be equally exciting and informative for our pros and couples. Since WedOverHeels was designed to be a supportive platform to share, grow and connect with each other, we've decided to regularly single out and feature pros from our community. We have already discovered some unreal talent, and we can't wait to introduce these pros to our brides and grooms!

For our very first Pro Spotlight, we've selected Lucid Captures Photography -- a company we've collaborated with on several occasions and who we are now privileged to call dear friends.

Based in Seattle, Lucid Captures offers photography for people in love worldwide. Their creative, modern and unobtrusive style of photography focuses on telling your wedding story in the most authentic way possible while providing with an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Lucid Captures is comprised of principle photographer Michael Movsevov and his studio manager/assistant Anna. Don't even try to pronounce Michael's last name, seriously don't. We're fabulous friends now and we don't even try;) We just call him Michael Mov with a running joke that he should have named the company "Mov'elous Photography". Haha!

While leading up to our launch of WedOverHeels, we connected with the Lucid Captures team on Twitter and decided to head out for coffee in Vancouver the next time they came to town. After spending a day with these two lovebirds, we were smitten. It would be hard to find a sweeter, warmer, more supportive pair than Michael and Anna.

From Michael:

"Your wedding is a once in a life-time experience; a day filled with love, laughter and tears of joy. You are going to be surrounded by your loved ones and most importantly, getting married to the love of your life. All of these elements create a unique story that is truly yours. My goal is to carefully craft that story into meaningful photographs, all while allowing you and your families to experience the day exactly as you have envisioned."

From Anna:

"As a studio manager my job is to work with you throughout your engagement to make sure that all the details of your wedding day are in order. I ensure that you have the best possible experience with us by answering all of your questions and promptly replying to your emails.

In addition to being the girl behind the scenes, I often assist Michael on the day of the wedding. Once in a while, I will even snatch up a camera and shoot throughout different parts of the wedding to provide a different perspective."

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Michael and Anna on a shoot to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. They took our vision for the shoot and ran with it. We couldn't have possibly had a more enjoyable, relaxed time.

Michael knows how to create stunning photos and his passion for photography is visible in every frame of his work. He will often be stopped in his tracks or even interupt himself when inspiration strikes and the light is just right. The resulting photos are perfectly timed, full of true emotion and life. If you want beautiful, epic photos of your big day, you want Lucid Captures.

Michael truly loves what he does, and he does it so well. We literally (yes, literally) cannot say enough good things about Lucid Captures and the two phenomenal people behind it.
