It has been a wet Spring here in Illinois.  After two attempts to do Katelyn and Chris's engagement session, the third date was looking like rain as well!  We decided to go for it anyway and take our chances.  I always tell my brides to just roll with the weather on their wedding days.  Rain does not mean terrible photos.  In fact, it can mean really cool photos.   Of course, there is  a point in which a storm becomes unworkable though.  As I drove to Allerton Park there were dark storm clouds all around with an area of light shining down on what I thought was my destination.  For the last leg of my drive there I tack across back roads zig zagging through farm fields.  Every other turn, as I was chatting with myself, I would say, "Oh it looks good! No, maybe not.  Yes!  No!  Yay!  No, no, no!"  When I arrived it wasn't too bad, but we did end up getting dumped on for a while when we started.  That did not stop us though!   We kicked that storm in the cumulonimbus!

Katelyn and Chris were a lot of fun to hang out with.  They are my kind of people… fun, in love, and not afraid to be a little goofy… and hey, SCRABBLE!  I know their wedding is going to be a blast!
