We are truly head over heels for today's wedding by Crystal Marie Sing.
Now, full disclaimer: We are in love with Crystal, both as a photographer and as a person. We met Crystal, her then fiance-now-huz Colin, and their adorable french bulldog Bruce while strolling the sea walls of Vancouver. They lured us in with their puppy, but it soon became apparent that he was just another extension of this couple's fun and contagious personalities. It was pure serendipity:)
Crystal is a true rising star of the wedding world. In the relatively short time we have known her, her demand has skyrocketted. And with good reason, with her signature warm vintage style, her photography is amazing. It always seems to be magic hour when shooting with Crystal! What's more is you will have a blast working with her and since she's comfortable behind the lens as well as in front (that's her in the photo above), she knows how to make you look good!
For today's feature, Crystal has graciously allowed us to post Brianna and Rich's gorgeous DIY wedding. Nearly every detail of the wedding was unique and hand-crafted. We love the care, thought and wit that went into all the pretty details from start to finish. Crystal perfectly captured the warmth and charm of this couple's Vancouver Island wedding.
From the Bride:
“We were a bit nervous because it was a DIY wedding- we wanted everything to look as beautiful in person as it had in our heads while planning. We also wanted it to be a fun, relaxing time rather then an extremely formal event, because we arent very formal ourselves. I spent the whole day hoping I wouldnt fall in my dress, because I had to wear heels in the grass and that is always a bad combination. We have such an amazing group of family and friends who helped us turn our dream into a reality, and the entire day was magical and perfect for us.”

“Rich and I both agreed the ceremony was our favorite part of the day, even though it was a blur. Rich says it is his favorite moment because it is when I truly became his forever, but I told him I was already his forever, this just made it legal.”
From the Bride:
“A close second was the photo session in Filberg Park. Our wedding party was having such a good time messing around, its hard to believe Crystal got in any photos. She was amazing and exceeded all of our expectations, even after seeing her gorgeous photos on the website.”
Dancing while your nearest and dearest surround you in a sea of bubbles? Yes please! What a perfect way to end this delightful day. Thank you Brianna and Rich for sharing your wedding with us.
