I look at a lot of wedding photos, but the images I look at more than once are often of the bride getting ready. I love to admire the transformation that takes place as a girl becomes a bride on her wedding day. Is there really anything so lovely? You can so clearly see the sheer excitement and anticipation as the makeup goes on, her dress gets buttoned and she steps into her heels.
Many times I feel choked up watching the bride's mother, sisters and friends bustle around, assisting her in the last moments before she walks down the aisle. I can so vividly feel all the emotions lifting from the photographs right into my soul, and can only imagine the day when it's my daughter's turn.
These are some of my favorite moments — before the vows are exchanged and busyness of the wedding celebration sets in. I've gathered a few of these incredible captures from some of the phenomenal photographers in our community. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
