I met up with Jen and Scott down by the ever popular riverfront area in Peoria.  This is THE spot for photographers to go to in Peoria.  It is rare that you won't run into at least a few other photographers shooting engagements or seniors or maternity sessions or boudoir.  I'm kidding.  No boudoir.  Get a room!  Anyways,  for me that is always a welcome challenge to try to see things just a little different when I can.  If it means asking my couple to go up a couple of flights of steps because I think the geometry of a parking garage will make a cool shot, that's what I'll ask my couple to do.  Thankfully, Jen and Scott were willing do whatever I asked. Thanks guys!  It was a long afternoon but I think it was worth it.  Their wedding will be a destination that I won't be attending but I can't wait to be apart of the party when they get back!  Congratulations you two!

I am so happy to share my first engagement session in Edmonton, Alberta.

I was worried yes I was, I am not going to lie. Why?...mmm it's winter wonderland out here and, to be honest, I had never shot and engagement below zero before!! Now I have to say it, I love this couple. They are not only an adorable pair, but it’s their super fun and unique "let's go ahead and do it" attitude that made me grin from ear to ear during our session. It was a very cold day but the sun was shining for us! If I tell you that Michael is a very shy man, will you believe me??... I have to thank them for being so awesome and for trusting my vision and for playing along in such a wonderful open space, where I am looking forward to shooting their wedding next summer 2013. I can't wait! Thanks Kansas and Michael for a fun and energizing photo session. You were fantastic to photograph and work with!
